Hi, I am jiayue and I'm excited to help you on your journey to learning Mandarin. I've been teaching for 2 years and have worked with a wide range of students, from beginners to advanced learners. Having seen the positive impact that mastering Mandarin can have, I'm passionate about guiding others to achieve their language goals. For me, teaching Mandarin is not just about language—it’s about connecting people to the world and empowering them with a skill that enhances their personal and professional lives. I love seeing my students grow in confidence and fluency as they progress. I tailor each lesson to your individual needs and goals, using a structured curriculum to help you steadily build your skills. About the lesson

My approach to tutoring Mandarin is student-centred, focusing on practical communication skills while building a strong foundation in the language. I prioritize active participation, where students are encouraged to practice speaking from the start. Also, each lesson is tailored to the student's level, interests, and learning goals. I incorporate relevant vocabulary, cultural insights, and topics that resonate with the learner. Most importantly, understanding culture is key to language learning, so I weave Chinese customs, festivals, and traditions into my lessons to give context to the language. Lessons usually last 60 to 90 minutes, allowing time for warm-up, new material, practice, and review. I am native in Mandarin and have experience teaching a diverse range of students, from beginners to advanced learners. My lessons are for beginners(HSK 1) to advanced( HSK 6).
