About Jaewon

Hello! I'm a native Korean speaker born and raised in South Korea. Although I currently work as a registered nurse, teaching has always been one of my greatest passions.

Since high school, I dreamed of becoming a teacher. During college, I took education-related courses and actively participated in educational volunteer programs because I genuinely enjoyed helping others learn and grow. Although I chose nursing as my profession, my passion for education has never changed.

I've had the opportunity to teach and mentor students from diverse backgrounds through volunteer work, international student programs, and language exchanges. Living abroad and learning foreign languages myself has helped me understand the challenges language learners face, allowing me to explain Korean from the learner's perspective.

I believe learning should be enjoyable, practical, and personalized. My goal is not only to teach Korean but also to help students build confidence and truly enjoy the learning process.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, so I don't believe in one-size-fits-all lessons. Before we begin, I'll take the time to understand your goals, interests, current level, and learning style, then create lessons that are personalized just for you.

A typical lesson may include conversation practice, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and real-life expressions that Koreans actually use. I'll also introduce Korean culture whenever it's helpful, because understanding the culture makes learning the language much more natural and enjoyable.

Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for TOPIK, planning a trip to Korea, or simply want to speak more naturally, I'll adjust every lesson to fit your needs. As your confidence grows, we'll gradually use more Korean in class while making sure you always feel comfortable asking questions.

My goal isn't just to teach Korean—it's to help you enjoy learning and communicate with confidence in real-life situations.
