About Yoon Hee

Hi! My name is Yoon Hee, and I am a native Korean speaker currently living and working in Canada.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and have professional experience in human resources in both Korea and Canada. Through this experience, I have developed strong communication skills and a good understanding of workplace culture, professional language, interviews, and the importance of adapting communication to different people and situations.

I also learned English as a second language and became fluent through consistent listening, repetition, practice, and real conversations. Because I have experienced the language-learning process myself, I understand how challenging it can be to express your thoughts, speak confidently, and continue a conversation without mentally translating every sentence.

I am patient, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping people feel comfortable speaking Korean. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can make mistakes, ask questions, and improve naturally without feeling pressured or judged.

I especially enjoy helping students learn practical Korean, natural everyday expressions, cultural context, levels of formality, and workplace communication. Whether you are learning Korean for travel, relationships, culture, work, or personal interest, I will tailor our conversations and practice activities to your goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are practical, conversation-focused, and designed to help students become comfortable using Korean in real-life situations.

I believe that one of the best ways to learn a language is to listen often, repeat natural expressions, and have as many conversations as possible. My lessons are therefore not focused on detailed grammar instruction or memorizing complicated rules. Instead, students learn Korean by hearing how native speakers communicate and practicing useful expressions through repetition and conversation.

As someone who learned English to a high level as a second language and has experience teaching others, I understand how difficult it can be to speak even when you already know many words. I provide patient guidance and a comfortable environment where students can practice without being afraid of making mistakes.

**My teaching approach includes:**

* Listening to natural Korean spoken by a native speaker
* Repeating useful words, phrases, and sentence patterns
* Practicing through realistic conversations and role-playing
* Learning expressions that Koreans actually use in everyday life
* Improving pronunciation, listening skills, and speaking confidence
* Explaining the context, tone, and level of formality behind expressions
* Personalizing topics around each student’s interests and goals

* A brief warm-up conversation
* Introduction to useful expressions for a specific situation
* Listening and repetition practice
* Guided role-playing and conversation
