About Jihyun
I grew up in South Korea and lived there until completing my university education, which gave me a profound and natural command of my native language. Driven by a desire to pursue larger dreams and broaden my horizons, I moved to France to pursue my Master’s degree. Living in Paris has allowed me to become fluent in both English and French, and I truly enjoy the process of bridging different cultures through language.
Although I use English and French daily, Korean remains the language closest to my heart. This personal journey of mastering foreign languages has given me a unique perspective on the challenges students face. I am passionate about sharing the beauty of the Korean language and helping others reach a level where they can express themselves with nuance and confidence. My goal is to use my international experience to provide a supportive, high-level learning environment for every student.

I provide tailored Korean lessons for upper-intermediate learners, available both online and in-person within Paris. To maximise your immersion, I conduct my classes primarily in Korean, providing supplementary explanations in English or French only when necessary to clarify complex concepts.
My teaching approach is centred on practical immersion. In each session, we dive into specific thematic texts or dialogues to naturally master essential vocabulary. Following this, we dedicate time to free discussion on the topic, allowing you to express your thoughts and practise conversational fluency in a natural environment. Furthermore, I use a "pattern-internalisation" technique where we practise specific grammar structures through various sentences until they become second nature to you.
I take pride in creating high-quality, practical content. Depending on your personal interests, I incorporate a wide range of authentic materials including Korean songs, videos, and literature. My goal is to help you achieve true fluency in a way that is engaging and relevant to your life.
