About Federica
My name is Federica and I am a native Italian speaker currently studying Management and Marketing at the University of Bologna, one of Italy’s leading universities. I am currently completing an exchange semester at UC Irvine in California, where I study in an international academic environment and interact with students from many different backgrounds.
Being both a native speaker and a university student allows me to explain Italian in a clear and structured way while keeping lessons natural and practical. My academic background has helped me develop strong communication, organization, and analytical skills, which I apply when preparing lessons and supporting students in their learning process.

My teaching approach focuses on real communication and building confidence in using the language. I like to adapt each lesson to the student’s goals, whether that is improving conversation skills, strengthening grammar, expanding vocabulary, or preparing for studying, traveling, or working in Italy. I combine conversation practice with structured explanations of grammar and useful vocabulary so that students can both understand the language and use it naturally.
A typical lesson usually includes a short conversation to practice speaking, followed by targeted exercises or explanations depending on the student’s needs. We may work on pronunciation, grammar structures, reading short texts, or discussing everyday topics to help develop fluency. I also like to include cultural insights about Italy, which helps students understand not only the language but also how it is used in real life.
My lessons are suitable for students of different levels who want to practice Italian, improve their communication skills, or deepen their understanding of the language and Italian culture.
