About Alice
My background is in social work and social policy, but I've always loved tutoring and teaching so I've always taught Italiana to English-speaking students throughout my years in the UK. I was born in Italy but I lived in the UK for 6 years and I now live in Spain, so I know first-hand what the challenges of learning a new language are. I've just completed my TEFL course and I'm teaching English in Spain.

My teaching method is the TEFL method of total immersion in the target language, which means we will only speak Italian during the lesson. This is so that you are exposed to a real-life environment. Don't worry if you don't understand everything - This is also part of the plan!
I will start with a lesson to assess your level of Italian. I will then design the lesson plans accordingly, to make sure you slowly but steadily make progress.
My classes are always designed around teaching a new grammar rule, teaching new vocabulary or practising a skill (reading, writing, speaking or listening). There will be a presentation bit (in which I explain the rule or introduce the new vocabulary), a controlled practice bit (in which you apply the new rule) and a free production bit (in which we use the new target language learnt in the lesson in a real-life situation using role-play or other interactive activities)
