About Elisa
I'm an artist and I've just graduated from the Royal Drawing School. I've lived in London for almost six years, studying here and freelance working and tutoring. I read a lot, in both English and Italian, and studied Classics when I was younger. Fluent in English, even more fluent in Italian, I enjoy working with children and I'm well familiar with the struggle of learning a language when you're older and not that elastic minded as you used to be.

I believe that conversation is what ultimately leads to learning a language so we will practise in speaking mainly Italian. We are going to read extracts of Italian books, even poems, suitable to the age of the client. I'm an expert in children's literature as I grew up with authors for children and studied illustration. We will look a lot at Rodari, and at Dr Seuss's translations by Anna Sarfatti. I can support bilingual children in learning to write, read and speak in Italian. At the same time I can give classes to adults and prepare lessons according to their goals and whether they prefer to specialise in practising in listening, speaking or writing.
