About Freda
Hello, my name is Freda, and I’m a native Igbo speaker from Nigeria. I grew up speaking Igbo and using it in everyday life, so it’s a language that’s very close to my heart. I want to teach Igbo because I believe our language is important and should be easy to learn, not intimidating. Many people want to speak Igbo but feel unsure about pronunciation, tones, or where to start. I enjoy breaking the language down into simple, practical lessons that anyone can understand. Teaching gives me the opportunity to share my culture, help people reconnect with their roots, and support learners who want to communicate confidently in Igbo whether for family, travel, culture, or personal interest. I’m patient, friendly, and I truly enjoy seeing my students grow and gain confidence with each lesson. My goal is to make learning Igbo comfortable, enjoyable, and useful in real life.
