About Kristela

Bonjour! My name is Kristela Fanjanirina Ravahatriniaina, and I'm a native French speaker from Madagascar.

French is one of the official languages in Madagascar and is used every day at school, at work, and in daily life. Growing up in a French-speaking environment has allowed me to develop a strong command of the language, and I would love to share that knowledge with you!
I am currently studying Business Marketing in Canada, and one of my greatest passions is helping others learn and grow.

️ Why do I love teaching French?

I truly enjoy helping people achieve their goals. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student become more confident, speak their first sentences in French, and realize that learning a new language can be fun!

My passion for teaching started at home. I often helped my younger sister with her homework, and I quickly realized that children learn best when lessons are interactive and enjoyable not just through memorization.
Instead of simply reading from a book, I used fun and creative activities to make learning easier.

For pronunciation, we might learn through a simple French song. First, I'll give you the lyrics and we'll read them together, practicing the pronunciation word by word. Then, we'll listen to the song and sing it together. This helps students improve their pronunciation, listening skills, and confidence while having fun!

For vocabulary, we played games using pictures, flashcards, and matching activities.

️ For grammar, I explained rules with easy examples and fun exercises instead of long, complicated explanations.

For speaking, we practiced through short conversations and everyday situations, like ordering food, introducing ourselves, or talking about our favorite hobbies.

For example, instead of only teaching the word "apple," I like to make learning interactive:

I show a picture of an apple.

I ask: "Qu'est-ce que c'est ?" (What is this?)

Then we answer together: "C'est une pomme !"

After that, we practice using the word in a sentence:
"J'aime les pommes." (I like apples.)

This simple method helps students remember new vocabulary naturally while improving their pronunciation and confidence.
I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to each person's age, level, interests, and learning style.

Whether you are a child, teenager, or beginner, my goal is to create a positive, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment where you can build confidence and make progress at your own pace.

At $16 per hour, I offer personalized French lessons that are fun, interactive, and adapted to each student's level and goals.

The first 60-minute lesson is free so we can get to know each other, assess your level, discuss your goals, and create a learning plan that suits your needs.
