About Basem

I’m a Grade 10 student and a native French speaker who has already completed Grade 12-level French. Because French is my first language, I’m very comfortable with speaking, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing.

I enjoy helping younger students and other high school students understand French in a simple and relaxed way. I know that learning a language can sometimes feel stressful, so I try to make lessons friendly, patient, and easy to follow. Students can ask questions freely, practice speaking without feeling embarrassed, and get explanations in English when needed.

I can help with French homework, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, conversation practice, and test preparation. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and what they are currently learning at school.

Being a student myself also helps me understand what school assignments, tests, and classroom expectations are like. My goal is to help students improve their marks while also becoming more confident and independent in French.

About the lesson

I keep my lessons simple, supportive, and focused on helping students actually understand French instead of just memorizing answers. I adjust each lesson depending on the student’s level, schoolwork, and goals. We can work on speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, or homework help.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what the student already knows, then we work on one main topic using examples, short exercises, and conversation practice. I like to explain mistakes clearly and show students how to correct them so they can become more confident on their own.

What sets me apart is that I’m a native French speaker and I understand how French is actually used in real conversations, while still being able to explain things clearly in English when needed. I try to make lessons comfortable and not stressful, especially for students who may feel shy about speaking French.

My lessons are mainly for elementary and high school students, including students in Core French or French Immersion who want extra help, better grades, stronger speaking skills, or more confidence in class.
