- Teaching Method and Techniques:
My teaching approach is centered around making French practical and engaging. I use an immersive method, incorporating real-life conversational scenarios to help students gain confidence quickly. I combine traditional grammar exercises with interactive activities such as role-playing and listening comprehension. Additionally, I adapt my teaching style to each student's learning pace and goals, ensuring a supportive and encouraging environment.
- Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of prior topics to reinforce retention. Then, we dive into a new concept or theme, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and practical usage. I like to introduce relevant cultural elements to give context to the language, whether it's through French films, music, or current events. We wrap up with interactive exercises, such as speaking drills or short written assignments, and a brief recap to solidify what we've covered.
- What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
As a native French speaker with a strong academic background, I bring both expertise and authenticity to each lesson. My lessons stand out because I blend cultural insights with language instruction, helping students understand not just how to speak French but also the nuances that make it unique. My goal is for students to feel as though they're truly "living" the language, not just learning it.
- Who the Lessons Are For:
My lessons cater to all levels—from beginners to advanced speakers—whether for academic purposes, travel, professional development, or personal growth. I work with high school and college students, adult learners, and professionals who wish to improve their fluency, as well as those preparing for exams or needing targeted assistance with French grammar and conversation.
