About Nagib

French has always been a huge part of my life as a native speaker, I moved to the UK when I was 7 so have always been in touch with both cultures and environments. But what I discovered during my time in sixth form and secondary school was just as rewarding helping classmates and peers with their French. Whether it was explaining a tricky grammar concept before an exam or practising conversation together, I found genuine joy in seeing others improve and grow in confidence. That passion for helping people with the language has never left me, and it's what drives me as a tutor today.

About the lesson

As a native French speaker, my lessons are designed to build real confidence in the language not just help you pass an exam. I tailor every session to the individual student, whether that means focusing on conversational fluency, grammar foundations, or exam technique.

My Teaching Methodology:
I believe the best way to learn a language is through immersion and practice. My sessions blend structured grammar work with real-life conversation, so students develop both accuracy and confidence. I use visual aids, role-play scenarios, and interactive exercises to keep lessons engaging and effective. For exam students, I incorporate past papers and mark scheme breakdowns to ensure they know exactly what examiners are looking for.
Typical Lesson Length:
Sessions typically run for 60 minutes, though 90-minute sessions are available for students who want more intensive preparation, particularly around exam season.
My Qualifications & Experience:
I hold a 2:1 in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Reading, where I studied alongside native and advanced French speakers. Most recently, I worked at LEGO handling over 200 customer queries per week in both French and English, achieving a 90% customer satisfaction rating. I also have experience mentoring and coaching others in a professional setting, having trained new team members during my time in sales.
Who Are My Lessons For?
My lessons are suitable for all ages and levels; from primary school children taking their first steps in French, to adults looking to brush up for travel or work. I specialise in GCSE and A-Level preparation but equally enjoy teaching conversational French to beginners and intermediate learners.
