About Marion
I'm a native French and English speaker currently studying Language, Culture and Society at the London School of Economics, where I've obtained a first class distinction in both my first and second years. Languages have always been a central part of my life, growing up bilingual and later choosing to study them academically, and I bring that genuine passion into every lesson I teach.
I have several years of tutoring experience, having taught English to French children, which has given me a strong sense of how to adapt my teaching to different ages, levels, and learning styles. I've also learnt a language myself as an adult, having spent a year abroad in Spain and currently studying Spanish at C1 level, so I understand firsthand the effort, patience, and encouragement it takes to become confident in a new language.
I take tutoring seriously and prepare every lesson with care, making sure each session is structured, engaging, and tailored to your specific goals, whether that's excelling in an exam, building conversational confidence, or developing skills for university or future career opportunities. My aim is always to create a supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, because that's how real progress happens.

My approach to tutoring is personalised and focused on building confidence through practice, not just theory. I usually begin each lesson with a short warm-up in French to get you speaking from the very first minute, then move into the main focus of the session, whether that's grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, or exam preparation, depending on your goals. I like to use a mix of materials rather than sticking to one textbook, including real conversations, short texts, and topics that genuinely interest you, so that learning feels natural rather than repetitive. I always explain concepts clearly and check understanding before moving forward, and I encourage questions throughout, since I believe the best lessons feel more like a conversation than a lecture.
My lessons typically last one hour, though I'm happy to adjust the length depending on what suits you best.
