About Jacob
I studied Spanish from age 6 until the end of high school. Then I went to Carnegie Mellon University where I studied Psychology. Then I traveled for 2 years in Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Mexico, and that's when I became REALLY good at Spanish -- and also when I got my first teaching experience, tutoring neighbors and friends in skill exchanges. Now I'm back in the US and I want to share my skills the world.

My lessons are based in conversation, even for the most basic students. The goal is to practice speaking in realistic situations, not to study abstract grammar. Grammar and vocab lessons emerge naturally from the problems you have in our conversations.
Ultimately my goal is that we both enjoy our time. It's fun to talk and get to know each other, and you'll learn more and practice more if we're having a good time. Come chat with me :)
