About Caroline
Hello! I am Caroline, a graduating senior in high school from Los Angeles, California. English can be one of the most complicated and time-consuming subjects for students. I want to work with you and meet you where you are, helping you reach your goals without taking up all your time. Reaching a high SAT score can also be challenging, but as a 1450+ scorer who knows the traps, tricks, and strategies on the English section, I can guide you through it. I am also learning another language, so I understand how difficult it can be to navigate everything. I’m eager to support you on your journey, especially if you’re learning English and want to become proficient quickly. When I’m not tutoring or studying, you can find me scuba diving, traveling, or geeking out over marine biology.

I believe language is the connection between cultures, ideals, and beliefs. I will always check in with current understanding of the subject, whether you are trying to learn how to speak English, trying to grasp a English concept in school, help with homework, or breaking down the tricking language in the SAT.
My lessons will be interactive, as teaching is not passive.
I make a safe and encouraging space where students will not be afraid to ask questions. My explanations are broken down and simplified. After reviewing material on slides or worksheets, students will practice through guided examples, short activities, and independent tasks to strengthen their skills. Specific needs can be discussed, worked out, and personalized.
