About Lydia
I am a Korean American, born and raised in the New York City Metro. Although my degrees are in Biomedical Science and Public Health Policy, being a part of the Korean community in America I've worked on translations and conversational tutoring since I was in high school. I've tutored for TOEFL, SAT and GRE, but for SuperProf, I'd like to help students work on practical conversational tools. In teaching for exams, I've found that while students learn the grammar and vocabulary to pass exams, conversationally English is a lot different than memorized rules. I'd like to help with that.

My goal is to help students speak to friends and co-workers. We will work on coffee house type conversations, while I guide pronunciations and help understand some idioms that do not follow common grammatical laws. Think of it as a fun conversation with a new friend. We will introduce each other and get to know each other, and together will be able to make conversation.
