About Wei
I'm a trilingual finance student graduating in December seeking part-time tutoring opportunities in math, economics, finance, computer science, and languages. I specialize in teaching math, introductory programming, and languages. I also have 4 years of teaching experience in Korea and China in test preparation in GCSE, AP, TOEFL, HSK etc. In the past, more than 93% of my students received the scores they wanted in exams and standardized test after our sessions. Not only do I have one-on-one tutoring experience, I have also worked for tutoring agencies in Shanghai and South Korea teaching small to medium sized classes ranging between 2 to 22 students per class. More importantly, based on my years of experience teaching, I firmly believe in quality over quantity. Therefore, I refuse to give excessive, unnecessary, or undesired work load to students. I hope every one of my students can enjoy and learn more deeply about the subjects.

My teaching method largely focuses on quality over quantity. For any given subject, core concepts will be lectured and explained with examples in details. This is specially important for language learners as one word can have many different meanings and connotations given the context in Chinese. Students can then apply the learned concepts in daily or weekly practices. My lesson plan designs and the intensity of the practice are determined by the students' demand for grades and workload. Lastly, my language lessons require significant amount of participation from students because the key for languages is quality practice.
