About Yifan
Hi! I’m a postgraduate with a background in Digital Humanities at Trinity College Dublin and Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at a leading university in China.
I have taught Chinese to students from many different countries, including France, the US, Indonesia, Egypt and Mexico, and have experience teaching learners at different levels.
I believe Chinese lessons should be tailored to the individual student. I’ll adapt the content, materials and pace to your needs and goals, whether you want to improve your pronunciation and speaking, strengthen your foundations, prepare for an exam, or simply feel more confident speaking Chinese.

My teaching style is practical, friendly and tailored to each student’s needs. I adjust lessons based on the student’s level and goals, whether they want to improve speaking and pronunciation, build a strong foundation, prepare for HSK exams, or develop their overall Chinese skills. I also encourage students to speak as much as possible during lessons and use real-life examples to make learning more natural and engaging.
