About Lei
I am a trained educator and got my Bachelor of Arts degree in China, majoring in World History. I believe that education can change life. I am passionate to encourage students to try their best in study. In the past, I worked as an instructor of Chinese language in a U.S. university for two years, and also taught Mandarin and Art in a U.S. elementary school for two years. By the way, I taught in high school for six years in China before I came to the United States.

I have experiences teaching Mandarin to various level students and adults. For beginners, the lessons will provide a solid foundation in the language, enabling them to communicate in basic everyday situations and develop a level of comfort with Mandarin Chinese. By the end of the course, students should be able to: 1) Greet and introduce themselves in Mandarin. 2) Engage in simple conversations on familiar topics. 3) Understand and use basic vocabulary related to various aspects of daily life. 4) Ask and answer questions about personal information, time and directions. 5) Order food in a restaurant. 6) Describe the weather and discuss seasonal activities. 7) Discuss hobbies and interests. 8) and/or any interest areas of the students. The teaching plans incorporate a variety of study strategies and curriculum components, including: 1) Pronunciation and Tones; 2) Vocabulary Building; 3) Listening and Speaking activities; 4) Reading and Writing practices.
