I am a native Chinese speaker and I focus on creating a relaxed, supportive, and practical learning environment. My teaching approach is student-centred, meaning I adapt each lesson to the learner’s goals, level, and interests. I emphasise real-life communication, helping students build confidence in speaking and listening through everyday conversations, pronunciation practice, and useful vocabulary.
I use a mix of techniques including guided conversation, role-play, repetition, and simple reading and writing exercises. For beginners, I focus on pronunciation (pinyin), basic sentence structures, and essential vocabulary. For more advanced learners, I introduce more complex grammar, cultural context, and natural expressions.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but I can also offer shorter or longer sessions depending on the student’s needs. Each lesson usually includes review, new content, and speaking practice to ensure steady progress.
I am patient, encouraging, and experienced in helping learners feel comfortable using Chinese in real situations.
