About Feifan

I'm a Chinese girl born in a city in northern China. Mandarin is my mother tongue, so there is no doubt that I have strong language skills. Since I was in primary school, I have read a large number of Chinese and foreign literary works and can make simple creations by myself. I started to write short stories in high school and won some writing awards. I have also served as a host, which shows my rich experience in improvisation and presentation. And my mother is a university official, who once also taught primary school students music class. She expected me to be a teacher and consciously trained me to be one.
Now, I'm year 2 international student at Goldsmiths of University. I studied in English&Drama which I have confidence with my English expression and writing ability, so I believe I can handle the communication with foreign students well.
I've done a lot of volunteer work before, but this is the first time I officially apply for a job. I enjoy the process of imparting knowledge and sharing with others. It will be really helpful for my future development.

About the lesson

I will match different teaching modes for students who have different foundations or different learning objectives. For foreigners who do not have any English foundation, I will start with basic Chinese pronunciation. Use the textbook to teach Chinese phonetic symbols and then start to understand simple Chinese words, which will increase the level step by step.
For the basic overseas Chinese who need to be able to read and write, I will choose articles that can increase vocabulary and comprehension, let them know more vocabulary, dictation and writing practice every class. Simple Chinese stories or Chinese movies can enhance their interest.
