About Mei
As a straight A students from first grade in China all the way to college in the U.S., I found myself struggle free with study. And I've been sharing my studying techniques and giving unofficial tutoring assistance to friends from whom I received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
It's a passion from my soul to teach others Chinese. Although having a full time day job, I'd like to use my free time to connect with more Mandarin language students and explore the fun and beauty of learning Chinese together.
I have also had 15 years English speaking work experience in supply chain/logistics, hospitality, accounting/taxation, and office administration.
I am a member of the NLSC (National Language Service Corps) and recently passed the Hawaii Judicial Department's Tier I Court Interpreter Written Test in Summer 2018, currently preparing for the Oral Exam.

I love to use analogies in my class to relate difficult, complex, or foreign concepts. I found the use of analogy extremely helpful with students from all levels.
I believe in practice making things perfect. So if you join in my class, you may find each class with only a few new words or phases, but lots of chances for you to practice. This learning approach is especially powerful for those who do not have too much time or commitment to study at their own time.
I can also customize class based on adult students' needs at work.
