About Jeil
My name is Jeil, and I am a native Cebuano speaker, highly fluent in Tagalog, a certified teacher, and at a C1 advanced level in English. Plus, if you speak Italian, parlo anche italiano! We can easily use Italian or English as our bridge language to help you feel comfortable from day one.
My Experience & Science-Backed Approach:
I have years of experience successfully in teaching English. This background has given me a deep understanding of language acquisition mechanics. I don't just ask you to memorize lists of words. Instead, my lessons are backed by language science, using proven methods like active recall and spaced repetition to help you absorb the language naturally.
More importantly: my lessons are never boring! I tailor every single class to your personal goals, using real-life scenarios, interactive tools, and cultural insights to keep things fun and practical.

My lessons are student-centered, interactive, and completely tailored to your personal goals. Whether you want to learn Cebuano to connect with family, master Tagalog for business, or simply practice conversation before traveling to the Philippines, I adapt every session to your pace.
As a certified teacher fluent in English and can speak Italian, I use a communicative approach. This means we focus on real-world communication from day one, rather than just memorizing boring grammar rules.
What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:
• The Warm-Up (5–10 mins): A friendly chat in Cebuano or Tagalog to review previous topics and build your conversational confidence.
• Core Vocabulary & Grammar (20 mins): Introduction of new phrases, cultural context, or structure using clear, practical examples.
• Interactive Practice (20 mins): We practice through role-play, interactive reading, or situational dialogues (e.g., ordering food, asking for directions, chatting with locals).
• Feedback & Summary (5 mins): A quick wrap-up highlighting your progress and a look at what we will cover next.
