About Hugh

As a native Australian English speaker currently studying at Paris School of Business, I bring a friendly, practical and professional approach to helping students improve their English. My extensive experience in hospitality, customer service and restaurant environments has taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt to different people and create a welcoming atmosphere.

I believe learning a language should be engaging, encouraging and relevant to everyday life. My lessons focus on building confidence through natural conversation, improving pronunciation and vocabulary, and developing the practical communication skills needed for travel, work and study. I also enjoy sharing Australian culture and expressions to help students understand how English is used by native speakers.

I aim to make every lesson supportive and tailored to your individual goals, regardless of your starting level. Whether you are learning English from scratch or looking to become more fluent and confident, I will help you practice at your own pace and work towards meaningful progress.

I look forward to helping you develop your English skills in a relaxed, encouraging and professional learning environment!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is friendly, practical and conversational. As a native Australian English speaker with extensive hospitality experience, I understand the importance of clear communication, confidence and adapting to different people and situations.

My lessons focus on real-world English, including everyday conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and speaking fluency. I aim to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and learning at their own pace. I can also share insights into Australian expressions, culture and workplace communication.

Lessons typically run for 30–60 minutes, depending on your goals and preferences. Each session can be tailored to your needs, whether you want to practise casual conversation, improve your confidence, prepare for travel or develop English for work and study.

I am currently studying at Paris School of Business and bring extensive experience communicating with people from diverse backgrounds through my work in cafés, restaurants, bars and customer-facing roles. While my background is in hospitality rather than formal language teaching, I bring patience, approachability and a practical understanding of how English is used in everyday situations.

My lessons are ideal for beginner and intermediate learners, international students, travellers and adults who want to improve their conversational English in a welcoming, pressure-free environment. My goal is to help you speak more naturally, build confidence and enjoy the learning process.
