I met Raneem through mutual friends and found out she was running group Arabic classes. The group.class was too beginner beginner for me and I specifically wanted to focus on Levantine Arabic and learn using Arabizi rather than FusHa/Modern Standard Arabic, so after feeling dissatisfied with a few previous teachers, I reached out to Raneem for private lessons tailored to my goals.

Raneem is now the fourth Arabic teacher I’ve had, and by far the best. Her lessons are incredibly well planned, organised and engaging. She has excellent time management, keeps lessons structured and productive, while still making them genuinely fun. She has completely customised the learning experience to suit my goals and interests.

Most of our learning happens through conversation and music, which has helped me build vocabulary much faster and in a way that actually sticks. She also creates fun mini revision tests so I continue integrating previous vocabulary into everyday use, rather than just memorising isolated words. One thing I particularly appreciate is how well she explains word origins and linguistic nuances, which makes the language feel much more intuitive and alive.

I always walk away from my lessons feeling genuinely happy, uplifted and more confident. I often leave singing the Arabic songs we’ve been learning, which says a lot about how joyful and immersive her teaching style is.

Raneem is attentive, encouraging and deeply invested in her students’ progress. She has lived in several Arab countries, including Syria, Iraq and Morocco, which gives her a rich understanding of different dialects and cultures. She’s able to teach across many levels, from complete beginners through to advanced learners.

I genuinely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Arabic.
