About Chad
Hello! My name is Chad Lane, and I am a high school Social Studies teacher with 10 years of classroom experience. I graduated from Salisbury University in 2017 with a degree in History-Secondary Education. I currently teach AP U.S. Government and Politics and U.S. Government, and I have also taught U.S. History, World History, Contemporary Issues, and other advanced placement courses. I am a National Board Certified Teacher in Social Studies and am also certified in Special Education. My experience has allowed me to work with students of many different ages, backgrounds, learning styles, and academic abilities.

My tutoring approach is centered on meeting students where they are and adapting instruction to their individual needs. I believe there is no single approach that works for every student, so I adjust my explanations, activities, and strategies based on how each student learns best. My special education certification and classroom experience have given me extensive experience breaking down challenging concepts, providing additional support, and finding different ways to explain difficult material. I have successfully tutored students both virtually and in person.
Whether your goal is to prepare for an AP exam, improve your grade, keep up with a college course, study for a test, complete homework, improve your reading or writing skills, or receive additional support in a challenging course, I am here to help. My goal is not only to help students succeed on their next assignment or test, but also to build their confidence and develop skills that will help them become more independent learners. I look forward to working with you!
