About Leon
I am Leon and I am 25 years old. I have a scientific background in Biology (Master's degree, University of Southampton) and I have long term aspirations of becoming a teacher. I have worked for 3 years within an industry called Medical Communications, where we worked on communicating cutting edge data on new drug treatments to doctors and other Healthcare professionals.
Outside of work, I love sport. I play football and squash religiously! I also love to read books and watch films.
My main aim when teaching is to establish a safe environment for students to feel their most confident, because that is where I believe real progress can be made. I like to create a stress-free, easy going environment where learning and progress is at the heart of the sessions.

I believe every student learns differently and may have specific goals/requirements, so I am happy to be flexible and adapt lessons to whatever is most helpful for the student.
Lessons typically last 45 minutes, although I can be flexible depending on the student's needs. Whether it's preparing for exams, improving subject understanding, or boosting confidence, I am happy to adapt each session accordingly.
While I am new to professional tutoring, I hold a Master's degree in Biology from the University of Southampton and spent three years working in the medical and pharmaceutical industry, where scientific understanding was at the forefront of what I did. I also achieved an A* in Biology at both iGCSE and A Level so I have useful tips and experience for students wishing to perform to a high level.
In addition, I have several years of experience coaching children and teenagers aged 8–18 through sport.
My lessons are suitable for students studying Biology at GCSE/iGCSE and A Level, as well as younger students looking to strengthen their science knowledge.
