About Joyce
I am Joyce and I am a mom, an artist, and most importantly a teacher. I have been a teacher for 8 years. I have taught many different grade levels from Kindergarten to 8th grade and a variety of subjects from language arts to science. I have had the most fun teaching my middle school students because I get to be myself with them. I love to be able to share my interests with my students. I believe that making school relatable to students helps them be passionate learners. I strive to make students feel comfortable with who they are and help them be a part of their learning journey.

From my eight years of teaching, I have had the most success teaching when students can relate to the content being taught. It makes them more invested in their work and they always are more passionate in what they produce. I also use different apps like kahoot, canva, and even movie to help engage with students.
I like working with upper elementary and middle school students and enjoy teaching science and language arts.
