About Heather
I have four+ years of experience in elementary school education. I have been a sore-based sub, a special education Instructional Assistant and was chosen to be a Teachers Apprentice in Special Education by my district.
I have references far and wide and access to more teaching tools than you can imagine. Such as BookCreator, Nearpod, Splash Learn, etc. I also enjoy taking the time to create my own tools to foster learning. My favorite is sight word BINGO!

Teaching students with special education needs has taught me so much. The most important thing is that repetition is the key to success and giving the students a sense of control over the lesson foster learning.
I use tools such as BookCreator, sight word BINGO, and specially designed lessons to fit each child’s learning style.
The key to success is to know the student and how they learn rather than telling the student how they should learn.
