About Daniel
We are all capable of more than we could reasonably expect of ourselves. In my experience as a teacher and coach, students tend to outperform the expectations they set for themselves when their self-confidence grows, and teachers and coaches play a vital role in helping them see their own potential. I focus my work as an educator on highlighting my students' character strengths and showing how their gifts and learned skills can help the solution to any problem be within their grasp.

My approach to teaching is one where I assess the student's comprehension level and begin to understand the gaps in understanding the topic. In order to thoroughly understand concepts in mathematics, one must be able to identify where their misunderstanding comes from. I work with the student to identify misconceptions and to better understand the material through practice and conversation.
Math can be intimidating enough!! I believe student learn best when they are comfortable and relaxed so I plan every lesson to be as stress free and engaging as possible!
I begin each lesson with a breakdown of the lesson plan and am always willing to pivot if there is topic that needs immediate addressing. I work with students from grades 8 through college. I look forward to the chance to work with you!
