About Cesar
My name is Cesar, and I’m a zero-generation male educator. My educational background is from UCLA, where I earned three degrees in History, Labor Studies, and Chicana/o Studies. I also earned my Master’s degree in Education from American University, specializing in anti-racist teaching.
Education has always been important to me, not just academically, but because I believe what students learn should connect to their lives and the world around them. As an educator, I want my students to feel supported, confident, and excited about learning.

My approach to tutoring is supportive, engaging, and personalized to each student. I have experience teaching elementary students and three years of middle school, so I understand that every student learns differently.
I keep lessons interactive and, most importantly, connect what students are learning to the real world so they understand why it matters. I use guided practice, discussion, and relatable examples, and I offer English and Spanish support when needed.
My goal is to build confidence, make learning less overwhelming, and help students succeed in reading, writing, ELA, history, social studies, homework, and STAAR preparation.
