About Logain

Hi, I’m Logain! Math has been my favorite subject since I was younger, and chemistry has become another passion. I enjoy working through challenging problems and discovering why things work—and I plan to continue studying math at university.

I’m currently in IB Diploma Year 2, studying Math AA HL, Physics HL and Chemistry SL. I completed the MYP with 51 points overall, including 7s in Math and Chemistry, and received the award for the highest MYP Math score with 98/100.

Some of my most rewarding experiences with math have been helping friends who found it difficult. Tutoring them taught me that understanding a subject and explaining it to someone else are different skills. I enjoy finding simpler ways to explain a tricky idea and helping someone feel comfortable enough to keep trying.

As an IB student myself, I know what it’s like to balance demanding subjects, deadlines and exam preparation. I bring that understanding to tutoring, alongside enthusiasm for my subjects and a patient, approachable attitude. I’d love to help you feel more confident in your abilities—and hopefully enjoy math and chemistry a little more along the way!

About the lesson

Stuck on a question and unsure where to start? That’s exactly what we’ll work on together. My MYP Maths and Chemistry lessons help you understand difficult concepts, build confidence and learn to solve questions independently.

My approach is simple: understand it, practise together, then try it yourself. We’ll start by identifying what you know and where you feel stuck. I’ll explain the topic in manageable steps, guide you through examples and gradually introduce more challenging questions as your confidence grows.

You’ll get more than explanations: we’ll explore how to approach unfamiliar questions, spot common mistakes and show your working clearly. I’ll also share revision strategies, study methods and practical IB tips to help you make the most of your independent study.

Whether you’re strengthening the basics or aiming for a 7, lessons will reflect your goals and pace. We’ll finish with a short recap and a clear idea of what to practise next.

Questions are always welcome—even if we need to approach the same idea several different ways. The aim is for you to leave thinking, “I can do this myself.”
