About Cara
Just between us, I am the kind of teacher who prefers bringing the gear to your house. I keep my lessons punchy because students have limited time to focus on scales and modes. Working with 106 people has taught me that simple is usually better.
Reading tabs should feel like a game, not a chore. I spend my time balancing rock gigs with helping grade exam candidates find their groove. Power chords and strumming patterns are the bread and butter of what we do.
I really enjoy the process of songwriting with my students. Tuning and maintenance are things I handle for you until you get the hang of it.

Getting you to play a full song with confidence is my main goal because that is when the magic happens. Since earning my Diploma at Musicians Institute, I have developed a system that uses custom backing tracks so you can practice soloing at home.
Playing along with a steady rhythm section makes your bedroom practice feel like a professional rehearsal. My teaching style remains very hands on as I move instruments around to ensure you have exactly what you need. Working professionals and kids alike find that these tracks turn a boring session into a fun jam. Everything we do serves your ability to keep playing long after the lesson ends.
