About Caroline
I have been learning about music since I was 6 years old, drums since 9, and teaching music since 11. I currently drum in seven different bands, which range in style from jazz to rock to classical wind band to Broadway, and have been regionally recognized in all of those styles. I also recently graduated AP Music Theory with an A and a 5 on the AP exam. I have extensive experience as a private and group teacher, teaching classrooms as big as 40 and as small as 1. I have experience with students as young as 7 and as old as 16, as well as neurodivergent students and those whose second language is English. My goal whenever I make music is self-expression. I believe music is the best way to learn about yourself and the world, and I would love to be by your student's side as they gain that knowledge.

Primarily a percussionist, I teach drum set, keyboard percussion, and concert percussion, as well as music theory and music reading. My lessons are 30-60 minute sessions of fun, adaptable learning that help kids learn new skills and use their imagination. I teach all skill levels, from those just starting to read music, to top ranked all state solo festival percussionists, balancing technique and experimentation based on each students needs!
