About Sarah
I am an experienced and dedicated Flute tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience, working with School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute for academic studies, personal enjoyment, or professional development.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and student-focused, with strong attention given to correct breathing techniques, posture alignment, finger coordination, tone development, and rhythm accuracy.
I believe that building a solid foundation helps students progress confidently and avoid common mistakes. Along with flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, scale practice, ear training, and basic performance skills to support complete musical growth.
I also assist students with exam preparation, auditions, and performance confidence. One of my key strengths is explaining musical concepts in simple language and providing clear practice routines with regular feedback. My goal is to help students enjoy learning flute while developing discipline, confidence, and a long-term love for music.

I use a flexible and creative teaching methodology for flute that is based on communication, student engagement, and supportive learning. I explain every flute technique using simple language and demonstrations so that students can understand, practise, and apply them correctly. I encourage open communication so students can ask questions, express difficulties, and receive constructive feedback.
Creativity is emphasised in my lessons through warm-ups, rhythm exercises, tone development activities, improvisation, and expressive music practice that makes lessons enjoyable and motivating. Lesson plans are adapted according to each student’s level, learning pace, and goals, whether for exams, performances, or personal growth.
Flute instruction covers breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading. In addition, I teach supporting subjects such as music theory, ear training, rhythm practice, note reading, and performance skills to ensure students become confident and well-rounded musicians.
