-I enjoy helping people learn, and teach with patience, humor, and compassion.
-My lesson plans focus on identifying challenges and meeting them with strategic practice. Finding fun examples and metaphors that resonate with my students is important to me.
-I am a film music scholar and love to connect with my students through music from their favorites films, tv series, and video games. I also have a PhD in music theory and lots of experience with academic writing, including the process of publication.
-I am experienced in coaching middle school through doctoral students in all levels of aural skills and music theory (including post-tonal theory). I have also worked with college students from diverse backgrounds on academic writing.

Perfect! Chelsea has been helping me study for a tough music theory test you need to take to become a certified music teacher at public schools. She has not only helped immensely with learning music theory but went above and beyond to plan lessons and information catered to my individual needs spanning all different sorts of music knowledge areas. She is a talented musician and great teacher and I could not recommend her more! I’m sure she could help you with whatever you need and it’ll be an enjoyable experience!!
