About Edwin
Hello! My name is Edwin, I am a passionate songwriter and fan of music theory. I have been an avid performer since childhood and have taken on the journey of creating and releasing my own music as an artist. I am a singer, keys player and violinist with interest in metalcore, however I am open to all genres, instruments and ideas about music.

I teach theory and compositional analysis in a way that makes the "boring" parts of music fun. I adapt to each student's personal interests, study level and instrument to ensure that music theory is fully understood, so that you can use the techniques you learn in your own compositions.
I received an A+ achievement on my 2023 VCE Music Composition exam and have completed a Bachelor of Music, with consistent HDs in Music theory and ear training based subjects. I have also been teaching guitar, piano and singing at a primary school level for two years. Beside this, I have been deeply involved in music, performing and songwriting since my childhood.
I take music theory lessons at any level, whether you have just begun to look into theory or are studying at a university level. If you're studying in school or university, please inform me of any goals, assignments, requirements ect of your study so that I can ensure you check all the boxes.
Lessons can be 30 minutes to 1 hour, with the first 30 minutes free so that we can meet and discuss your needs and goals.
I hope I can share the joy of music with you !

I have played in a band with Edwin for 8 years and can say in all the time reversing and playing he has never let me down once.
He was a great musician but also a great teacher for the rest of us and really led the band to make us perform and function better as a whole.
I would thoroughly recommend Edwin as a great music teacher to help children achieve their full potential.Edwin is a very knowledgable, skillful, understanding, and kind teacher. As a colleague, I have seen that he manages to improve students' musical understanding and skills through individually tailored lessons no matter the prior abilities of the students.
