About Ilona
Hi! I'm studying a Bachelor's degree at the University of Otago and enjoying every moment of it. My teachers inspired a strong love of learning in me from a young age, and this is something that I hope to share with my students.
I've always loved music and have studied piano and music theory from the age of 4. In 2018 I passed ABRSM Grade 5 music theory with distinction, and studied musical conventions and aural skills through to NCEA Level 3.

Students will either provide their own music theory workbook at the level they choose, or I will source one for them at a level I find appropriate. We will work through the book together and I will help to explain and demonstrate concepts, answer questions, and show examples of how the theory works in practice.
