About Sarit
Sarit is a professional musician with 25 years of teaching experience, teaching singing, piano, Music Theory (ABRSM and in general) composition and arranging. She holds a Master's degree in Choral Conducting, Bachelor of Music (1st degree) in Vocal Performances as well as a diploma in piano. Through the years she has frequently performed as a soloist in concert halls, in a duet with classic guitar and with various orchestras. Among her performances, in 2004 she has sung as a soloist in front of Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in Rome during a Wednesday Mass. Sarit also worked as a professional piano accompanist to various choirs and soloists, and currently is the musical director of two adult choirs, one based in London, and the second in Wiltshire, UK, and teaches privately piano, singing, music theory and composition (ABRSM, GCSE, A level, University entrance exam and more). One of her compositions was performed live on BBC Radio 4 by one of the leading vocal ensembles in the UK; St Martin's Voices at St Martin in the Fields (2019). I teach students at all ages. My fees are: 30min - £35, 45min - £40, 60min - £45 (my location - GU10). ***Lessons are taking place at my home studio in Farnham (at the moment I don't undertake teaching which require travelling due to a tight schedule.)***

Sarit is an excellent piano teacher, who really cares about her students and helps me to do very well in my music endeavours and exams.
Sarit is a great teacher. She engages with her students and try to find connection through music. She guides her students patiently and help them build strong skills for long term development of piano playing. She is also a role model to her students where she actively participates in choir conducting, piano concerts and share hers love of music with community.
I had the opportunity to be part of a choir lead by MS Sarit Aloni in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Sarit taught me how to use my body to reach the best results in my singing and she impressed me with her ability in coaching each chorister individually and as a group.
Sarit is a serious professional and to be honest, her extensive experience in music and in teaching was something that greatly impressed everyone in the group and the results could be seen in our performances.
I would recommend Sarit as a teacher (she's also a great performer!) especially if you wish to achieve a solid preparation in music. And not just in singing: she's a great pianist and has a deep theoretical knowledge and it appears that no music genre is unknown to her...Sarit goes above and beyond. She is totally committed to her students and is creative in helping them reach their full potential. She has been the Music Director of my choir for the past 6 years and I love it and have learnt so much.
I have know sarit for many years and have found her to be talented, dedicated, conscientious and forthright. I thoroughly recommend her to any student of music of any form.
Larkhill Choral Society (LCS) advertised for a new Musical Director in early June 2015. We selected her from seven applicants for audition in July 2015 following which LCS unanimously agreed to select her as our new MD.
Sarit has now been our MD for over two years and has demonstrated her ability and passion to improve our vocal skills as a bedrock for choral singing. She is clearly an extremely talented singer and pianist. She is also very hard working, has an engaging personality and shows great determination in raising our choral singing standards. She sets a high standard and expects us to rise to it. When we struggle she does not give up and invariably her perseverance shows through and we achieve the standard that she seeks. Unsurprisingly this young family woman is very conversant with modern and current IT and uses this media to help communicate with us. She has very ably built us a new website since our old one was not fit for purpose, enthusiastically keeps it up to date and manages its day to day running.
Her communications and administrative skills are excellent and she responds very promptly to routine choral society business. I have been surprised how near fluent she is in the English language both written and oral. She has no difficulty in engaging with us during rehearsals and communicating her wishes. She is sensitive to our feelings and emotions and very keen to get to know us all as individuals and our strengths and weaknesses when singing within a group.
Over the past two years she has shepherded us through three six successful concerts – Mozart’s Missa Brevis, Frostiana that included Durufle’s Quatre Motets, a selection of songs by Ola Gjeillo and Moses Hogan, a Jazz and Barbershop concert, Schubert Mass in C and carols, Handel’s Coronation anthems and supporting songs and finally a very successful concert this summer featuring South American music which was totally new music to our choir.
Overall, we have been very impressed with Sarit, her musical skills and the warm and engaging way in which she gets to know us. She has a wide and deep knowledge of many different types of music such as classical, folk and country songs, medieval and Gregorian chants, American spiritual, Jazz and Barbershop and South American music. She is an excellent teacher and is very skilful in encouraging us when we encounter unfamiliar music or difficult passages during rehearsals. She brings out the best in us and the proof is in the six very successful concerts she has generated for us in the past two years.
In sum she is an excellent and extremely capable teacher. We look forward to this very talented young woman being our Musical Director for a considerable time to come.

Chairman Larkhill Choral Society 15 Oct 17Sarit, is above all passionate about music. This comes across in her role as musical director of our choral society. She is not content with anything less than our best possible effort. She strives for continuous improvement in our technical as well as musical performance. On a personal note, my singing has improved significantly following lessons with Sarit. I strongly recommend Sarit Aloni.
