About Rico
Hi, I’m Rico. I’ve been playing piano since 2012, and music has been a constant part of my life ever since. Over the years, my path naturally expanded into drums and composition, and for more than four years now, I’ve been teaching and sharing music with others. What matters most to me is not just playing music, but truly understanding it — how sound turns into emotion, how ideas become pieces, and why certain music stays with us. I’m deeply interested in jazz, contemporary, and post-modern music, and these influences shape the way I think, play, and create. I enjoy working with people of all ages, especially helping beginners take their first steps with confidence and curiosity. For me, teaching is a shared journey, built on listening, creativity, and genuine connection. Music is a lifelong process, and I’m always learning myself. I’m excited to keep exploring, creating, and growing — and to share that journey with you.

In my classes, you don’t only learn how to play or write music; you also develop a better way of listening. You’ll understand how a piece of music is formed, where it comes from, and what makes it meaningful and beautiful.
In my drum classes, you can start from the very basics and go all the way to an advanced level. Teaching children is also one of my specialties. We begin with simple rhythms and gradually move toward paradiddles, compound rhythms, and more complex rhythmic concepts — always in a clear and enjoyable way.
In my piano classes, we work on different styles and solid fundamentals. My main specialization is jazz, and if you’re interested, you can also learn jazz composition and improvisation using simple yet effective methods.
My goal is to help you achieve the best quality in the shortest possible time, while truly enjoying the journey of learning music.
