About Daphne
With over 5 years of experience and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance, I teach using a holistic, therapeutic approach. My lessons emphasise self-expression, emotional release, and mindfulness through musical storytelling. I use improvisation, journaling, and soundscape exercises to help students grow personally and creatively. I work with neurodiverse learners, trauma survivors, and adults seeking healing through music. Each session provides a safe and nurturing environment for exploration. Students learn to connect deeply with their inner voice and emotions. I encourage creativity, intuition, and playful experimentation alongside technical skill. The violin becomes a medium for emotional understanding and stress relief. Lessons focus on listening, awareness, and mindful engagement with music. Students develop expressive confidence and resilience. I integrate technique with emotional exploration and personal growth. Every student is guided towards using music for self-discovery and emotional well-being. My aim is to help learners find joy, peace, and healing through the violin.

I teach violin with a focus on fluent and confident sight-reading. Students learn to read ledger lines, complex rhythms, and multi-part scores efficiently. My approach is systematic, linking visual notation directly to finger placement. Exercises improve speed, accuracy, and anticipation in reading new pieces. The Musical Theatre Enthusiast and The Worship Singer benefit from personalised drills for instant reading fluency. Lessons combine technical skill-building with real repertoire applications. Students learn to recognise musical patterns and execute them smoothly. Sight-reading becomes a natural part of playing with guided practice. Each session is structured, engaging, and rewarding. I emphasise accuracy, timing, and musicality alongside reading skills. Students gain independence and confidence in performance. My goal is to help learners tackle unfamiliar music effortlessly. Each lesson builds fluency, skill, and expressive ability.
