About Marisse
Having received a wide range of teaching styles in my own practice, I look to incorporateand draw on differentmethodologies to meet students' needs whilst providingengagement with the instrument within a wider musicological context for a well-rounded musical education rooted in instrument engagement. Keen to hear how students themselves engage with music, I work to guide their interests beyond solely mastering the notes to develop musicianship skills that inform a cycle of self-teaching and effective self-critique for maximum progress.

I personalise my style pf teachingto the goals of the individual student. Whether they are adults looking to get back into loving their instrument or a young person lookingto progress to the next grade or earn a scholarship, I am committed toprovising a service that will match the aims and vision of the student. I look to use a range of hands on combined with theoretical knowledge in approaching practice and learning music to ensure students are equipped with well-rounded appreciation and understanding of the music they are engaging with.
