About Gurvishal
I did my undergraduate studies in music at the Waikato Institute of Technology. I graduated at the top of my class in composition I was award the Apra Excellence in Composition prize during this time. After my undergraduate studies I scored a number of short films and advertisements, all the while, I continued my studies in composition, counterpoint, and harmony with the renowned composer and teacher, Alan Belkin.
I strive to make every lesson inspiring and challenging. I want my students to become well-rounded musicians and also fantastic learners.

Learn piano and theory in a fun, challenging, and rewarding environment. I strive to make my students the best musicians they can possible be. You will learn how to read music well and you will develop a good understanding of music theory and ear training, so that you can play music you hear with ease. My holistic approach to music allows you to make music a natural part of your life. You will gain a solid foundation in piano technique. You will be comfortable playing your favorite songs, playing happy birthday to your friends, livening up your living room with Christmas songs during the holidays, or entertaining your friends with meme songs - you will play what you love!
By the end of your education with me you will love to play music for yourself and for others, you will know how to practice deliberately, and you will cultivate a healthy mindset for learning and practicing in general.
Lessons are typically 30 minutes or an hour long. I specialize in teaching beginners, from initial grade to grade 4 of ABRSM.
