About Kristian
I like to believe I'm a storyteller at heart. A good story makes the characters within relatable. It brings the myths and legends from the past and brings them back down to Earth. I want to help students appreciate history and what came before. There are amazing stories in there and with patience, time, and the introduction of new ideas, I believe you will appreciate history too.

I believe history is a fascinating subject when told correctly: as a story. My approach is to go over the subjects that the student is going over and turn it into a narrative, as well as a fact-based argument, rather than regurgitating names and dates. By making the history approachable, it is less daunting and introduces a perspective by learning about humans of the past, rather than names on a page.
I can tutor grades 4-12 including undergraduate students. Not only will the student and I be able to re-contextualize the subjects, but their thesis-based writing will strengthen. I will be able to assist them in writing essays on Social Science topics that will make their arguments clear with proper citations if needed.
