About Marcia
I am currently in my senior year at Rutgers University-Camden. I graduated from Haddonfield Memorial High School in 2017. Since 2016, I have volunteered and worked as an educator at the Franklin Institute, Texas Memorial Museum, and Museum of the American Revolution. I am passionate about all education, but I have a primary interest in teaching history and civics.

Many kids find history and civics boring because they require memorization and can often feel unreliable if taught a certain way. I try to bring these subjects to life by presenting primary sources that allow students to relate better to the content and understand the period better. While knowledge is always important, I also put a heavy emphasis on writing and analysis skills as well. I can change around my plans to strengthen the mastery of knowledge or the mastery of writing and historical analysis based on what the student needs the most.
