About Alexander
I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a Bachelor of Music Technology and over 10 years of teaching experience in schools, academies, and private settings across Australia and New Zealand.
I play guitar, bass and piano, with a background spanning pop, rock, jazz and metal. I started studying jazz piano in New Orleans as a teenager, went on to take jazz guitar seriously in Australia, and have played in bands across multiple genres over the years.
Having come to music through playing rather than formal training alone, I find it's easier to connect with students who just want to play and enjoy the process.

I offer beginner and intermediate lessons in guitar, bass and piano, online or in person. Lessons are tailored to your goals - whether you want to learn your favourite songs, develop solid technique, or build a deeper understanding of music.
Topics can include technique and fundamentals, music theory, reading sheet music, ear training, improvisation and jamming, songwriting, and learning songs from the repertoire you actually care about.
There's no fixed curriculum - we work on what's most useful and enjoyable for you.
I teach students of all ages, and the first lesson is free so we can get a sense of where you're at and what you'd like to work on.

Alex is incredibly intuitive when it comes to audio engineering, producing, and vocal arrangement; as well as playing guitar, piano, and bass. It's been very inspiring working with him for upwards of 3 years on musical projects. Some of which he also helped me release! He has helped me develop my musical style as an artist and is always super receptive to my creative vision and ideas; no matter how bizarre or how difficult they are to achieve.
