About Charles
Hello!
I’m Viji Charles, an experienced educator, student counselor and corporate trainer with over 20 years of experience in education and training. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering and a Master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Mumbai, where I graduated as the class topper.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with reputed engineering institutions in Mumbai, Chennai and Trichy, taking up both academic and administrative responsibilities. My experience has given me a deep understanding of the different learning needs of students and the challenges they face while pursuing engineering education.
I strongly believe that every student has the ability to learn when concepts are explained in the right way. My teaching approach is student-centric, patient and practical. I focus on simplifying complex concepts, strengthening fundamentals and encouraging students to ask questions and think independently rather than simply memorizing information.
In addition to teaching, I have extensive experience in student mentoring, counseling, communication skills, personality development and employability training. I have worked extensively with engineering students, particularly in helping them prepare for the transition from college to the corporate world, including interview preparation, communication, confidence building and emotional intelligence.
I also have considerable experience working with students from different academic backgrounds and learning abilities, including students who may require additional support and encouragement. I believe in adapting my teaching style and pace to suit each student's individual requirements.
My objective is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel free to ask questions, clarify their doubts and gradually develop confidence in their abilities. Whether a student needs help understanding a difficult engineering concept, preparing for examinations, strengthening fundamentals or developing professional skills, I aim to provide structured and meaningful guidance.
I am passionate about education and continuous learning, and I enjoy seeing students progress not only academically but also personally and professionally. I look forward to supporting students in achieving their learning and career goals.

I believe in making engineering concepts simple, practical and easy to understand. My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals and conceptual clarity rather than just memorizing formulas. I explain each topic step-by-step using simple examples, diagrams and practical applications, followed by problem-solving and exercises.
I usually begin a class with a quick recap, introduce the new concept, explain it with examples, and then work through problems with the student. I encourage students to ask questions and clarify their doubts throughout the session.
I adapt my teaching style and pace according to each student's level and learning needs. My aim is not only to help students perform well in examinations but also to develop their confidence and ability to understand and solve engineering problems independently.
My classes are mainly intended for Diploma and B.E./B.Tech students, particularly those studying Electronics & Communication Engineering and related subjects. I can help students strengthen their fundamentals, prepare for examinations, clear difficult concepts and improve their problem-solving skills.
