About Bethany
I have been tutoring maths, English and 11+ for 4 years and have worked for 2 tuition companies and at a high school as a GCSE maths mentor. Over the years I have mainly taught in classes and have taught hundreds of students alongside my colleagues. At my first company we had a 100% pass rate for the 11+ grammar school test. I have personally tutored 3 KS4 students in maths and helped them increased confidence, study skills and their attainment grade by at least 1 grade.

My teaching methodology is broadly based upon the individual's learning needs and personal targets. However, I do have a logical approach to explaining concepts and encourage student to take notes in a logical format to reinforce their learning. I always start my lesson with a brain warm up to get the student focussed on the class, I then ask if there is anything in particular the student wants to practice or is struggling with. Whilst I look for resources I give the student a task then I have already planned from the previous lesson or something which I know will help them reach their target. Then I go through the answers with student and work through any corrections and questions.
