About Tom
My name is Tom and I hold an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and a BEng in Computer Systems Engineering. I’ve been tutoring for over two years, including work with TutorWorldUK, helping students succeed across GCSE and A-level Maths, Physics, Computer Science, English, and Sciences.
Often teaching is not done properly, a topic or concept is covered but only in one way lacking depth which leads to half-understandings. I will make sure there is a total and deep understanding, by providing multiple ways of approaching and viewing a concept or topic, and making sure to cover it completely and totally, leaving no room for misinterpretation.
When learning a concept it is likely just a couple little things that hold the student back from getting it. The devil is in the details. These one-on-one tutoring sessions will focus in on all the little details that your teacher may have overlooked.
The sessions with me are structured, exam-focused without sacrificing depth, and tailored to the student and their goals. First session is free.

I provide an analytical and deep approach to teaching that gets to the core of a topic and gives you a proper understanding of the subject of study which allows for much easier application. This is achieved by having multiple approaches and avenues to learning a concept. When you fill out a student's mental and conceptual framework by showing them different ways of looking at things, it fosters a deep understanding of the subject. Lessons differ depending on the students preference, but typically start with a topic introduction and worked practice questions with indepth explanations tailored towards understanding rather than just going through the motions, which is common in subjects like Maths and Physics.
