About Saumya

As an experienced clinical/forensic professional, and someone who is currently on the path to pursue a DForenPsy + employed as a Community Partner for justice-involved women and children, I have had the opportunity to apply the concepts I have read in my textbooks and research papers for the past 5 years - I bring life to the concepts taught by using real-world examples to engage learners further!

I am committed to inspiring confidence and establishing a sense of trust among my students. I do ensure I create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and valued. I treasure autonomy and deeply prefer it in the way I teach to ensure collaboration is valued and my learners are eventually able to engage in independent learning!

Together, we will embark on a rewarding educational journey filled with growth, achievement, and mutual respect.

About the lesson

• I take a humanistic, person-centered, and flexible approach to teaching as I am aware the effect anxiety can have on learning. • • I make learning fun by using experiences from my own 3+ years of experience working within clinical and forensic fields further adding color and applicability to the concepts I teach.

• I customize learner plans based on each person's unique needs as I am aware that people have distinct ways of retaining information.

• I also understand that research and stats can be a bit overwhelming for students and I am more than happy to go over concepts multiple times, utilizing interactive methods to ensure all doubts are cleared.

• I offer lessons on a 1 -hour or 2-hour basis, or as required by the learner based on both our availabilities.

• My lessons for anyone ages 16 and above; covering beginner, intermediate and advanced level of subject matter.
